INT - WIL - DEX -- The Definitive Word on the Topic
SO many people post so much stuff about this that is completely misguided I wanted to post something to completely clear the air of these three stats for archer and dual fencer.

Here is the breakdown.
Archer (INT, WIL, DEX) - Archers are meant to use these three stats mainly. Why? I always tell people to just look at the skills in their hotkey bar. All you have to do is mouse over them and this whole debate is answered. Some say its a matter of opinion, which is wrong because obviously there must be a right way to play this class, or else skills would be completely relative. Anyway, i digress...
Why INT and not STR for archer? Simple. Look at the skills available to an Arhcer. Remember archer equals ranged. The ranged skills are the Dual arrow DB, Chain lightning, Soul for normal attks (yes archers use normal attks ALOT), and your specific elements arrow shot. Now some argue here that the dual arrow DB (I dont mention the arrow array because its not particularly useful in PvP) is STR based which means you should go STR. False, why? If you look closely the main stat for a fencer's dmg is DEX. At 150 you want around 115 DEX, which mods EVERY skill except Chain Lightning. Dual Arrow is majorily modded by DEX, with STR being a side issue. However, if you don't stat STR, and stat DEX, INT and WIL you get the DEX mod (which is more important and higher than STR) on the Dual Arrow DB as well as a huge boost to Chain Lightning, all Souls and Arrow Attks, as well as Lotus Lamp (which is immensely useful contrary to popular opinion - mine hits for 1600 give or take a few hundred). If you stat STR and no INT, you ONLY gain a boost to the Dual Arrow DB, and leave out Chain Lightning (which is a skill that you cannot do without in PvP), Lightning Orb, Lotus Lamp, and also you dont get the Magic Attk boost to your heals.
So weighed in the balances of an honest gamer, STR has been weighed, and found wanting in many areas, while INT has shown through numerous tests and extensive trial to be the most valuable stat for Archer (I take for granted here that people understand Imperial Guards are arhcers and Blade Masters are Dual Wielders).
With this build (a proper archer build), you will also need a decent amount of MP to keep up with your attks and heals. WIL, again contrary to the fencers that are warrior wannabes, is extremely important. There is a huge amount of Fencers that just want to be warriors, and build CON/STR fencers. But notice that the only way these fencers ever top the leader board is by luck, or they happen to get a Military Martial Spirit, otherwise they rarely hit the top ten. But not only does WIL give MP, it also gives 1 point of skill defense for every 2 points of WIL, as well as a huge boost to heals (which is the most important tool in a fencers arsenal - remember what i said before - Fencers are essentially armored tacts). I wont tell you my build, but you need ALOT of WIL to be any good as an archer because with more WIL you get more defense, as well as more MP and greater heals... which equals being able to kill entire guilds at city gates alone (yeah Ive done that before).
Anyway, I hope that helps some confused new fencers. If you doubt what I say about how to build a fencer, just watch the leader board in war (I am a bit behind in lvls but still get 1st most of the time, lowest is 6th since the 120 cap raised and I made the whole war) and let that substantiate my claims in this post. I like seeing action above and beyond words, so lets see those who disagree prove themselves as well as voice their opininions. =)
